Should you just create one fanpage or many fanpages
At our most recent social media workshop, a delegate asked us if they should just create one fanpage for their company or a variety of different fanpages. According to them, the company they were considering to engage to execute their Facebook campaign hadĀ advisedĀ them to create just one fanpage for the entire company. We, at Tickled Media, on the other hand vehemently disagreed. Creating just one single fanpage for a company that had many different verticals seemed like a ludicrous idea. Why in the world would someone who enjoys, say Milo care to be a fan of Gerber or Nan Formula – even though the holding company is the same – Nestle. They are completely different target markets, with very distinct age groups and needs. So, yes, we still stick to our stand – different fanpages for different products.
